Do you see your big toe when you squat? If not do you hear coaches tell you that your knees are caving in? Seeing your big toe is a way to tell if your knees are tracking over the toes when squatting, which is what you want.
So, the next time you squat, look down from a neutral head position and see if you see your big toe (I recommend doing this is in warm up sets not at your heaviest lift). If in fact you can see your big toe you know your knees are tracking over your toes in a good position. If you don’t then that means your knees are caving in and we need to work on getting you in a better position. Whether its stance, mobility etc. Proper movement patterns are key so don’t give up until we help you get it right!
